Marina Polesana Pula Earns Prestigious 5 Anchors Categorization
Marina Polesana Pula, with 400 sea berths and 42 dry berths, has received the prestigious 5 Anchors categorization. This is a significant recognition for one of the youngest marinas in Croatia. Moreover, it represents the highest level of classification for nautical tourism ports.
To achieve the “5 Anchors” status, Marina Polesana had to meet strict criteria regarding safety, infrastructure, and services. In addition, it had to fulfill requirements for environmental sustainability and special amenities within the marina.
One of the main requirements relates to secure and functional berths with water and electricity supply, which has been flawlessly implemented in this marina. Beyond that, Marina Polesana has well-designed waste disposal and wastewater management systems, as well as protection against adverse weather conditions.

The criteria for obtaining the “5 Anchors” classification also include professional and highly trained staff, modern sanitary facilities, a service center, and amenities such as a restaurant, café, and store.
Marina Polesana is part of the Marina 21 Group, which has been setting new standards in the Croatian nautical industry in recent years. The marinas within this group are equipped with modern facilities and staffed by professional, highly trained personnel. Furthermore, they continuously invest in infrastructure and service diversity. The philosophy of the Marina 21 Group is to insist on environmentally responsible and sustainable operations that ensure the long-term preservation of the Adriatic Sea ecosystem.
The marina is located on the northern side of Pula Bay, in close proximity to the Brijuni Islands, which makes it particularly attractive to sailors. Additionally, it is naturally protected from sea waves and storms and offers a variety of facilities. Marina Polesana encompasses the island of Sveta Katarina and the Monumenti Bay area, along with its surrounding waters. Covering 22 hectares, the marina welcomes sailors with 400 sea berths and 42 dry berths.

The Transformation of Monumenti Bay
For Pula, Marina Polesana plays a crucial role in revitalizing the long-neglected and deteriorated area of Monumenti Bay. The development of the marina initiated the transformation of this former military zone into a tourist resort, and the construction of the heritage hotel Monumenti is now continuing this process. The hotel is set to open by the start of the next season.
The marina offers guests well-equipped pontoons and a reception that operates 24/7. Other amenities include sanitary facilities, a laundry and drying service, a nautical store, and a shop selling beverages and cigars. Marina Polesana also provides a professional boat service, featuring a 200-ton mobile crane and a 100-ton self-propelled trolley.
