Marina Drage has opened

Marina Drage located between Zadar and Šibenik has finally opened with the first boats taking up their berths officially.

Nestled in a small, pictoresque town under the highway and surrounded by pine trees, Marina Drage offers 200 berths. In the vicinity of the marina there are several national and nature parks.

The marina offers 200 berths for boats up to 30 metres and dry berths for 40 boats.

Each berth in the marina Drage has fingers, shore power connectors and water supply. The reception is open 24/7 and there is a parking lot with 100 spaces. The minimal depth on the berth is 3 meters.

The 70 ton marine travel lift will be available from the beginning of next year

We visited Drage recently and noticed that the works around the land part of the marina have accelerated towards completion. Special attention has been given to landscape design and diverse plants such as olive trees, tamarisk trees and beautiful ornamental plants.

There are two charter companies in the marina already, but we are mostly counting of owners’ boats says Slaven Karić, the Marina Manager. Marina Drage is interesting because it is a true boutique marina. In a couple of weeks we are opening the Yacht Pool Bar that is located by the pool literally and in February, the Fine Dining restaurant will be open as well. The bar and restaurant terrace will have underfloor heating. We believe that it will prolongue the season and allow our guest to relax after dinner and enjoy the ambiance with a glass of vine. The 70 ton travel lift will arrive at the beginning of next year and will become operational prior to seasonal boat maintenance. The guests will also have the crane at their disposal – added Slaven Karić, the Marina Manager.

A boutique marina at the doorstep of Kornati islands

Marina Drage is fairly full already. Many owners who used to keep their boats in marina Dalmacija or marina Kornati moved the boats to marina Drage. Some owners relocated the boats from northern Adriatic due to marina’s ideal position close to the Kornati national park. Another advantage is the charming surroundings of a quiet and green cove and several nearby restaurans.

The marina shop is open every day but Sunday from 8 am to 21 pm. Across the reception area there is a big workshop building with offices of two charter companies mentioned earlier. All the possible issues that boaters might have with their boats are handled through the reception or workshop.

The workshop is not fully operational yet but there is an electrician and a mechanic at marina guests’ disposal. That is to say that minor work can be done and the spare parts can be ordered via reception.

The marina Drage Reception Manager, Rujana Sučić Karić says: There are many boat owners who relocated their boats from the nearby marinas. The reasons are the feeling of freedom, more air and more space. The distance between pontoon in the marina is quite big so even the beginners can easily manoeuvre their boats. The marina is well sheltered and the boats are safe.
