Austrians whose boats sail in Croatia are no longer required to go to the harbourmaster’s office
Until now, the online registration service through e-Nautika portal has been available for 14 EU countries but not Austria whose citizens keep a great number of boats in Croatian marinas. It order to enable the electronic services, it was necessary for two countries to sign the agreements that were subject to preconditions. Now that the contracts have been signed and all the conditions met, instead of going to the harbormaster’s office to pay the safety fee, as of today, the boaters from Austria can do everything online.
They simply log into e-Nautika portal by using their official identification protocoles (for example e-pass/mToken/via mobile banking application) and after registration fill in the requested form and make the transaction.
The e-Nautika services are available in Croatian, English and German what should make the process even simpler. Along with the Germans and Italians, the Austrian boaters own the 3rd number of boats that sail in Croatia. Here is the list of countries that can use the service: Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Germany, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain and Sweden. Apart from the safety fee, the boaters from other countries have to pay the tourism tax, also online.
